i) Transformer :
Ac input is 707 V and DC output is 6.070 V.
Before connecting AC supply directly to rectifier, It is required to step down the AC supply to lower voltage. Here output will remain as AC only.
2) Rectifier :
To convert AC into DC, rectifier is required. We use here full wave rectifier being more power efficient.
3) filter :
The output of rectifier is not a pure DC but a pulsating kind of waveform. To
convert pulsating DC into pure DC we need to remove the ripples. Filters are used to remove the ripples. The best filter here is a capacitor.
4) The regulator :
To get constant and stable DC supply, regulator is used.
